Uncle Brian Visits

Brian, Wes' brother, came to visit the week of Thanksgiving. We got to spend some time with him on Tuesday and Wednesday, before he left for Georgia. He is getting ready to move out of Washington, DC and enjoy the peace and serenity of a smaller town. Grace enjoyed the visit. Uncle Brian always sings to her and she just loves it. He also has a cool phone with buttons., irresistible to her little fingers.

Paige's First Birthday!
We traveled to Virginia to celebrate Paige's birthday. Her birthday is November 29th, the Fowlers were nice enough to celebrate early so we could join in the fun! Wes, Grace and I really enjoyed our visit. It had been quite a few months since we had been there. We saw Steve (my brother), my grandmother, parents and the Fowlers.

Grace and Paige had a good time together, we think anyway. They smiled at each other, tried to share pacifiers, pulled each others hair, and tried to poke eyes out. All the typical baby stuff. They were just fascinated with each other.

The Pumpkin Patch
It is November already?
Where has the time gone? Grace is 8 and 1/2 months old. My niece Paige will be a year old on the 29th! They grow up too fast.
Grace sits up very well on her own. She isn't crawling yet, but she rolls to chase the cats. Any day now she will be on the move!
Grace got her second tooth, less than a week after her first. So she now has two bottom ones popping up! This one brought with it the crankies. She wants to be held a lot and chew on everything. We started letting her chew on some Zwieback toast and she likes that. She is a good eater, not picky.
Unhappy-Sun. Nov 4th
We had a Sunday school class picnic on Saturday Nov. 3 at the Eno River State Park. Wes and I had never been there before. It was beautiful and a perfect day for a picnic with a great group of people. There are a ton of kids between all of us and Grace was entertained by the little girls.

We are looking forward to seeing my family in just a few short weeks. It has been way too long and we miss them terribly.
NC State has a few more home football games left. We have enjoyed them but it is even sweeter when you can say your team has won a few (Virginia and Miami...Go Pack)

OCTOBER IN A NUTSHELL!

Well October has come and gone. We were in London or recovering for the first two weeks of the month. But life has gotten back to normal.
I am working two days a week at the hospital. Grandma Bolton watches Grace on Tuesdays and a wonderful lady, Anne watches her on Thursdays.
Wes is busy with work, singing in the choir, playing hand bells and his other various hobbies. We are enjoying life as parents. Grace continues to amaze us!

We managed to sneak in a trip to the NC State Fair...The corn on the cob is the best fair food by far.

Grace got her 1st tooth! It made its grand appearance on Sunday October 28th. Not been able to catch any pictures of that yet, she moves too fast.
We celebrated her first Halloween at church. They always have a big party with games and lots of fun. Grace was the cutest little monkey you have ever seen. I managed to get a few pictures during the day on Wednesday of her playing. However, my camera battery died Wednesday night after just getting a few in her costume. Isn't that always the way!

The Boltons Go to Jolly Ol' London

Wes had a business trip to the UK and Grace and I tagged along. He was kind enough to let us stay in London, city center, and commute each day to Ware. Although it was only 35 miles away, it took him two hours each way and about two miles of walking. I don't feel to much guilt since he flew first class and Grace and I were mere peasants in coach.
Well, Grace did wonderful traveling and sightseeing. She and I toured the city every day. Wes had about 3 days of free time and on those days we visited museums and toured the city. WE used the "tube" and buses to get around the city. Londoners were very kind and helpful. Grace loved smiling and trying to get every one's attention. Wes had a grand time "car watching"!

Grace and I had afternoon tea at the Orangery at Kensington Palace. It was a cold and rainy day, perfect for a warm cup of tea and cucumber sandwiches.

Bolton Family Vacation
The Bolton gang traveled to Alberta, Canada for a family vacation. We visited Banff National Park, Lake Louise, Jasper National Park and lots of beautiful spots in between. We had an incredible time! The Canadian Rockies has to be one of the most breathtaking places on earth. Around every turn was another beautiful sight. It got rather cold and we did get to see some snow the last two days of our trip. One of the neatest things we did was to visit Colombia Ice fields Parkway and the Colombia Glacier. We hiked, canoed, relaxed....all the good things vacations are made of. We had a lot of fun and made good memories. Grace handled her first big trip really well. She had her first plane trip, first trip out of the country, first time in a big pool, first time seeing elk, first snow....Oh the excitement!
